Skullcap + Turtlehead

Skullcap only grows wild in the most beautiful, serene forest streams. Pretty much. Which is why it brings such a sense of peace to many people. This I think, having met the plant in it's native home.

Turtlehead sometimes grows nearby. Its flower is a turtle head - seriously. Sticking its tongue out. And it can be used medicinally - it gives people giggles. Giggleiferous. Haven't tried out my tincture yet... Check it.

  1. Wow. Skullcap has brought me through a lot. And Nettles, I always think of you when I take it; the bottle on my shelf is the very one you gave me.

What I'd like to know is: what happens when someone who is naturally giggly (someone I know) (not me) takes Turtlehead? Does that person begin to weep?

N, it was great chatting with you Sunday night. I can't stop talking about Ghost Pipe.

Hey! Let's all go and visit Nettles sometime!

  2. Word, I <3 Skullcap. I think the best way to solve your question about Turtlehead is to do an experiment ourselves. If you know anyone that might be that way... A search through Eclectic literature provides no answers, only more questions (i.e. why talk about the liver and digestion and completely overlook it's key medicinal action...? or was 7Song simply messing with us?).

Yeah, check out the pictures of Ghost Pipe if you haven't - Monotropa uniflora.

    Visiting would be sweet!
